You have been assigned to one of the Ar Vandir Lighthouses, to the south of the ocean passage, for one month. A simple job, right? Make sure the lighthouse remains operational. Close the windows and doors when you see the figures in the sea fog. Are you afraid of the deep ocean?
the last wishmaker is my dungeons & dragons story campaign that i'm currently running with a group of my friends. the setting is a land called Ildathach (meaning: the multi-coloured realm), where a series of strange events thrusts a party into the midst of an unfolding cosmic horror.
or something like that, anyways. this is where i'm going to yap about my campaign.

Ildathach and the story of The Last Wishmaker is basically a setting for me to play in for all my homeless existing characters. it isn't terribly original, probably, since it's some kind of weird fusion of all the other fantasy settings i already enjoy.
my inspiration was places like Thedas, Tamriel, Middle Earth, as well as old Irish folklore of fairy lands, as well as a general interest in the natural world, i guess? fun fact, the shape of the map is literally just a theoretical future supercontinent on Earth. Pangaea Ultima... my beloved....
a lot of it is undefined and waiting for the gaps to be filled in. i think the fun of it is that my players have, and will, fill in a lot as we play the campaign. some of it is filled from other d&d sourcebooks and modules, such as the Drakkenheim and Eldritch Hunt books.
...i would really like to run a Drakkenheim campaign, one day.
