sunday roast dinner date (archived)

well it's been ab a week, my tooth pain has subsided but i'm still wary. my body replaced it with the worst period cramps immediately after though. today though, i went for a little dinner date with my boyfriend :33 he booked a carvery for us which i've not been to before (at least to my memory), so new experience for me. it's like getting a sunday roast from subway.

i didn't really rate getting meat or food buffet style from under a heater, but as we came up to the counter they did bring out a fresh turkey. still, it almost tipped me back over to the edge of going vegetarianism. it's less a moral choice and more a personal food "ick" choice, i really struggle with the texture and appearance of most real meat. okay, i wouldn't go full vegetarian, because i really love fish. but, i really do prefer vegetarian meat options most of the time, since the texture usually being nothing like meat is actually a win for me.

still, it was rly nice!! however, i do have high standards since my sister and me make a rly good roast/xmas dinner (this year, i made a coke ham, it was rly good), so it still doesn't beat ours. mac and cheese was rly good though... and it was nice to be taken out on a date where all i had to do was be pretty.

now, i'm behind on my studies so i really need to debate whether i should email my professor for an extension on my next assignment. i'm rly trying to study this year because i actually want to absorb the content instead of winging every single assignment, but i'm finding it difficult when the study year coincides with the rest of my life getting rly busy (autumn-winter is really busy at work, then holidays, then a ton of birthdays at the start of the year). and then not only that, we're attempting to move house within the next four months. i would like one year that is not hectic please.
